Week 1
- Here are some things we will begin working on this week. At the bottom you will find a suggested work calendar (SWC) for our first unit on World War 1.
- Please plan to purchase a 1 or 1.5 inch 3-ring binder with 6 dividers to leave in class. You will need a different notebook/binder/folder for your regular class notes and supplies.
Primary considerations for this course:
- What about the 20th Century leads to the rise of so many totalitarian dictatorships?
- What is the appeal of utopian schemes, and to what extent are they successful in the 20th century?
- Contrast the profusion of violence with advancements in the protection of human rights in the 20th century.
